Ross Leo Smith "Bud"
1928-2018



Funeral service for Bud, age 90 of Shafter, will be Tuesday, November 20, 2018 at 10am at Jesus Saves International Church of Shafter. Pastor Steve Seymour will officiate and Sister Lori will sing. Burial will follow at Shafter Memorial Park. The family will receive friends for viewing on Monday, November 19, 2018 from 6-8pm at Jesus Saves International Church of Shafter.


Bud passed away on Thursday, Nov 15, 2018 at his residence. He was born October 26, 1928 in Wilburton, Oklahoma to Allen and Fanny Smith. He was an active member of Jesus Saves International Church since 1965. He served as a deacon at the church for 40 years,
He is survived by his daughters, Peggy Warren of Shafter and Susie Foote of Shafter, 9 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren and sister, Betty Sheets.

Bud met his wife Letha Mae in Wasco at Hoyts Drive Inn, they married soon after in 1954. He was a proud Army Veteran having served in the Korean War. He worked for Belridge Oil Company until merging with Shell Oil Company. He retired in 1986 and moved to Shafter.
